Excel Training DRAFT

Growth is a great problem to have… until it isn’t

Meet Charles.

When he founded Rebag, the company grew faster than anyone expected. Success was exciting… until the team’s internal processes couldn’t keep up.

In Charles’s own words…

“Over the past few months our business grew extremely rapidly, and we quickly became overwhelmed with demand.”

Every handbag took about 45 minutes to evaluate. Which sounds perfectly reasonable, until those handbags start coming in faster than you can finish the last one.

It was clear we didn’t need a fancier spreadsheet. We needed a better way of working.

So, we stepped back and looked at the entire workflow. Where was time actually being lost? Which steps added value? Which ones didn’t?

Only then did we open Excel.

Here’s what changed.

Evaluation time was cut roughly in half.

Which meant buyers spent more time making decisions and building relationships with customers, and less time waiting for the spreadsheet to catch up.

Before

⏱️ 45 minutes to evaluate each handbag
📈 Demand was growing faster than the process
🔁 Repetitive, manual workflow

After

⏱️ Evaluation time cut roughly in half
📈 More time for decisions, less time on busywork
💡 A team equipped to keep improving

Why It Mattered

✓ Buyers spent more time making decisions.
✓ Customers moved through the process faster.
✓ The team kept improving long after the training ended.

The Lesson

Great Excel training isn’t about shortcuts or formulas.

It’s about giving people the confidence to figure out the next problem on their own.

Hear Charles tell the story in his own words:

Every team has friction somewhere.
